Gibraltar Weddings

A Fabulous venue for a wedding….

Way back in the 50′s Lawrence Harvey and Margaret Leighton were amongst the first to choose to get hitched on the rock.   In the 60′s there was probably the most famous wedding to date when John lennon and Yoko Ono also married there.

Sir Sean Connery has also been married in Gibraltar.

There are many plus points for choosing to have your big day on the rock.  It enjoys over 300 days of sunshine every year, so not many worries for the bridal party and their ruined hair and dresses!

Also there is the relative ease and simplicty compared to other countries, you really could have the whole thing done and dusted in 24 hours on a good day.

It is also a great place to get married and then hop on a cruise ship for your honeymoon!

Finally the cost of getting married is very low compared to other countries.

The Gibraltar civil ceremony marriage act covers all the requirements for the marriage of a man and woman .  The act makes it possible for non-residents to marry there by issueing a special licience.  Civil ceremonies can take place outside of the registry office and outside standard hours.

You must be able to proove to the registry office that you are free to be married, have your birth certificate, passport or I.D. card available maximum of 1 year before the date you want your ceremony.
